1958 AC Aceca
April 12, 1958 --England
Hello I am AC Aceca chassis number BEX654 was built for delivery to the US marketplace. It started life White with Red Leather Interior. Since then the ACECA was repainted red, black and is now yellow. I was delivered to Hulsey & Proctor Foreign Cars of Dallas Texas by late May 1958 and sold to a Mr. Thomas Brown (deceased 2007) later that year. Despite owning Jaguar's and an AC Cobra CSX car, the ACECA remained Mr. Brown's favorite car till his death.
In 1987 after nearly 30 years of pleasure the Bristol 2.0 litre engine was retired and replaced by a GM V8 motor and the suspension was upgraded too. Other modifications were minor body upgrades and a change in the interior color to tan. BEX654 still proudly wears the factory wire wheels, and starts everytime. I can be purchased for far less than the market value. I am searching for the original parts and drivetrain. I am restoring to original colors but as a resto-mod condition vehicle.
